SASSA Will Take Solutions to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it is alarmed with regards to the high quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely sassa status functional office committed to service the area every day. The service position made for intervention encounters a higher inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it hard to the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to enable the servicing of all shoppers and enhance access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
